Recorded CPU observations, not SIMD executed in this browser. Choose a CPU, ISA and exact call to compare input and output bits. Subnormal behavior and NaN payloads can differ even when ordinary values agree.

The reciprocal baseline on x86 is the same Newton formulation without the rail repair. Saturating conversion is compared with to_i32(). Other sample operations compare the method with itself. NEON, WASM and scalar reciprocal rows are identity controls, not measurements of a removed fixup. Timings use ordinary inputs; exceptional values are sampled separately. Median and MAD summarize nine paired rounds in one process, not cross-machine confidence bounds.
